On the average day in the office, after seeing 20-30 people with various conditions, ranging from newborns who weren’t gaining enough weight, to pregnant women; from octogenarians with diabetes and dementia, to adolescents with depression and wrist-cutting as a cry for help. In spite of those stresses, Family doctors have the distinct privilege of entering into peoples’ lives from birth to death. At this end of day, I was feeling quite exhausted.
