Dr. Michael Gordon

Geriatrician

Dr. Michael Gordon is a distinguished geriatrician and is Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He spent much of his career at the Baycrest Centre in Toronto and is a recognized ethicist and thought leader on the care of the elderly and end-of-life decisions. He currently provides medical consulting, primarily focusing on cognition and memory loss, at the Toronto Memory Clinic.

Behavioural Neurologist

Dr. Sharon Cohen is a behavioural neurologist and the medical director of Toronto Memory Program, a community-based medical facility which she established in 1996 for the purpose of enhancing diagnosis and treatment for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Her memory clinic and dementia research site are among the most active in Canada. Dr. Cohen has over 30 years of experience in clinical research and has been a site PI for over 180 pharmacological trials in dementia, including phase 1 trials. She represents Canada on international advisory boards and steering committees and is a consultant to a wide range of stakeholders including government organizations and patient advocacy groups. She is a frequent lecturer and contributes to media events including those on medical ethics. She is known for her advocacy of individuals with neurodegenerative diseases. Despite academic and hospital appointments, Dr. Cohen has always chosen to practice in the community, in keeping with her belief that dementia care and clinical research are best offered in the real-world setting.

D'Arcy Little

D'Arcy Little

Dr. D’Arcy Little is the host of the Inside Radiology channel on Current Clinical Care. He is a diagnostic radiologist at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. With unique multidisciplinary training spanning anatomic pathology, family medicine, and diagnostic radiology, Dr. Little brings a comprehensive clinical perspective to medical-legal issues. As a certified medico-legal consultant since 2017, he has extensive experience reviewing cases for both plaintiff and defense parties across Canada. He recently completed advanced certification in Clinical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Liability and Risk Management (2024) and has authored educational materials on medical malpractice for physicians. Dr. Little is also a dedicated medical educator with over 25 years of teaching experience, known for making complex topics accessible and practical for diverse healthcare audiences. As a certified medico-legal consultant since 2017, Dr. Little has extensive experience reviewing cases for both plaintiff and defense parties across Canada. He recently completed advanced certification in Clinical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Liability and Risk Management (2024) and has authored educational materials on medical malpractice for physicians. Marina Abdel Malak

Dr. Marina Malak is a family physician in Mississauga, Ontario, and the Director of Assessment and Competence of Family Medicine/Enhanced Skills at the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine (TMU SoM). She is a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and McMaster University, respectively. In addition to her leadership in medical education, she is a board member of the National Committee of Continuing Professional Development at the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), and a Peer Guide and Mentor with the Ontario College of Family Physicians of Ontario (OCFP). She is also an advisory member of the Halton Physicians Association, and a Wellness Mentor and community physician leader with Trillium Health Partners. Marina is also the host of her channel on Current Clinical Care titled “3P: Pills, Pearls, and Patients”, where she shares insights and discussions on practical clinical topics relevant to everyday medical practice. She is passionate about patient care, medical education, and promoting mental, physical, and emotional wellness. She enjoys being challenged by 1000-piece puzzles; reading and writing; doodling in her bullet journal and Procreate app. Her latest areas of interest are the integration and applications of AI in medicine and medical education … and learning to crochet (thank you, YouTube videos!).
